Full sun to partial shade. Medium-to-wet loam/soil that will also tolerate acidic and heavy clay.
The Eastern Redbud, a large shrub or tree, grows to be 20-30 feet in height and produces light-to-dark pink flowers that appear in clusters blooming in the spring to early summer. The tree prefers medium-to-wet loam/soil that will also tolerate acidic and heavy clay. Although redbuds will grow in partial shade, they will produce more blossoms when exposed to full sun.
